The Bolesworth Castle March 2025 Classic & Performance Car Auction
Sunday, 09th March 2025.
1989 Land Rover Defender 130
Registration – F43 HEC
Chassis No. – SALLDHMB7FA378532
M. O. T. – March 2025
Odometer – 126, 000
With the popularity of four door pickups currently at an all-time high, ‘F43 HEC’ must represent optimum Defender specification right now. A four door, six seat crew cab with pickup back on the longest 130-inch wheelbase makes ‘F43 HEC’ a less common but more desirable configuration. In current ownership ‘F43 HEC’ has benefitted from a complete strip down and respray. The engine has been checked and overhauled and a brand new, five seat interior has been fitted. With a modest, by Land Rover standards, 126, 000 miles covered to date ‘F43 HEC’ holds a valid, advisory free MOT and is ready for duty, be that mud plugging on the farm or cruising the King’s Road.
Following its strip and respray ‘F43 HEC’ now looks superb in its Heritage Grey style livery with numerous black finished accents. These include the door tops, wheel arch extensions, bumpers and contemporary looking mesh grill. Chrome tipped twin exhausts have been fitted and galvanised sill rails are present. The 16-inch steel wheels are also finished in black and carry a set of BF Goodrich A/ T tyres in a 285/ 75 configuration. The interior has fitted with a brand new, six seat interior with black seats and matching stitched door cards. Blaupunkt dash speakers are fitted and accompany the forward facing box speakers under the rear seats. The vendor rates the paintwork, bodywork and interior as “good.”
‘F43 HEC’ is fitted with the 19J 2. 5-litre turbo-diesel engine which has been freshly overhauled and recently serviced. This is mated to the five speed manual transmission transferring power to the permanent four wheel drive system. In addition, ‘F43 HEC’ has had a new steering column fitted and comes with two keys. ‘F43 HEC’s’ engine, transmission and electrics are also rated as “good.”
In summary:
· A great crew cab, pick up example of the long wheelbase defender
· Recently stripped back and resprayed now with a popular contemporary look
· Compete with a brand new six seater interior at a cost of over £3, 000
