The TVR Chimaera is a two-seater sports car manufactured by TVR between 1992 and 2003. The name was derived from Chimera, the monstrous creature of Greek mythology, which was made of the parts of multiple animals and a very fitting name for this fabulous car. Together in looks, performance and then the noise, there is nothing quite like a TVR noise from that thunderous V8 engine.
We understand from the vendor that this is a rare HC version, of which only 750 were apparently made by TVR and hence it is a little more special than a standard 4. 3 litre of 4. 5 litre Chimaera.
The car presents very nicely - the paintwork is even and shiny, and the alloys wrapped in matching Falken rubber are unmarked. The vendor informs us the car was completely repainted in 2020 and this probably explains the super condition of the exterior. At the same time as having the paintwork done, the vendor also had the front headlamps faired in which suits the look of the car well and makes the front end look a little more purposeful than standard.
The interior presents very well - the seat facings only have minimal marks and the wood dash compliments the leather seats and door cards perfectly. The rear screen is clear and free from major marks or fading.
The TVR comes spare keys, invoices for work completed over the years plus lots of previous MOT certificates which back up the mileage presently showing of 54k miles.
Overall, a really super example that is only being sold due to lack of use. Dont miss out !!
