SERVICE HISTORY
* Church Farm 4x4 in Norfolk and another Land Rover specialist near Inverness completed the extensive restoration in 2023/ 24, including a complete engine and electric system overhaul, full respray, refurbished wheels, brakes and chassis.
* New parts include a Webber carburettor, ignition coil, steering arms, leaf springs, shock absorbers, stainless steel exhaust, LED headlights, battery, immobiliser, stainless steel screw fittings on door hinges, and rear mud flaps with LR logos.
* In 2018, the immediate past keeper overhauled the gearbox and installed electric power steering and a bespoke leather interior.
CONDITION
* Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
* I consider the vehicle to be in very good condition in light of the works completed but with some minor cosmetic defects including: (i) some light rusting to the wheel hubs; (ii) a small patch of bubbling (unbroken paint) under spare tire on rear door; and (iii) some wear and tear to the dash face and interior.
* As is typical with vehicles of this age, on cold days, there is some initial exhaust smoke when heavily choked on start-up. SUMMARY
This 52-year-old Land Rover Series III 109" is a classic British off-roader. Sparingly used, I am confident the next keeper will enjoy her on and off the beaten track for many more years.
