Description

1966 Ford F100 in excellent running order.

This classic truck is fitted with the legendary Ford 240 cubic inch straight-6 engine, which starts reliably, runs beautifully and is as smooth as a sewing machine.

I have owned this truck for about 18 months, but due to moving out into the countryside where I no longer have dry, covered parking for it, and wanting to scrape pennies together for a house deposit (in this economy!), I have made the reluctant decision that it's time to part with it. Smiles from passers by are guaranteed when turning up in this truck!

I've fitted 3-point seatbelts to give some element of modern safety, whilst retaining the correct style of buckles etc to suit the era.

I also have a Craftec tonneau, which I ordered specifically for this truck, however by the time it arrived from the USA it was winter, and so not a good time to be trying to stretch vinyl outdoors! This will be supplied with the truck brand new in box.

Furthermore I will also include a full vinyl flooring set for the cab. This is another thing I was getting around to doing on a hot summers day, but unfortunately did not find the time. This flooring comes with a sound deadening foam layer and is ready to fit.

Also supplied is a whole box full of spares, such as a spare speedometer cluster, spare gearbox, gaskets, door locks and more.

The gearbox is the Borg Warner T85 gearbox with R11 overdrive -- the heavy duty version of the R10. These are incredibly rare in the USA, and it would be near impossible to find one over here.

As you can see in the photos the chassis is completely solid and rust-free, as are the wheel arches and the underside of the cab. I have undersealed the entire vehicle, and have never driven it when the roads have been salted. I personally know the previous owner, who took good care of the truck since its arrival in the UK around 6 years ago, and it was used pretty rarely by him too.

Minor points to note:
- Overdrive only engages intermittently. For now I have locked out the overdrive to prevent any damage occurring, and the gearbox works perfectly without it. I have a spare T85-R10 gearbox which can be used as a spare or for parts etc.
- Small rust holes at the front of the bed (not structural, bed bolts onto chassis so can be removed to patch up)
- Speedometer inaccurate, but I have a spare

Any questions, do feel free to ask.

Cheers,
AlexIt's such a fun vehicle to drive around in! I bought it with the romanticised idea of taking classic motorcycles to ride off road in the back of this truck. However, following a house move such that I no longer have covered parking, and wanting to save for a house deposit, it's time to reluctantly put it up for sale.
