Description
We are pleased to offer this highly usable Porsche 996 C4 Tiptronic on behalf of a fantastic GQ client.
The Porsche 996 was the highly successful replacement for the Porsche 993 and the first of the new watercooled generation. Introduced in 1997 the 996 was a significant departure from the 911s that had evolved before it and was designed to appeal to a wider range of buyers, which saw it sell in unprecedented numbers (175, 000+). It was, and remains, an incredibly usable and versatile performance car.
The car we are pleased to market is C4 Tiptronic presented in Zenith Blue with Grey leather interior that sits on 18" Turbo wheels. The car has been with the current owner for 3 years and covered minimal mileage in this time (he lives in Singapore), but has benefitted from a recent major service at Pie Performance Porsche specialists at a cost of £2, 400 and has an MOT through to October 2025. The work included:
- Oil, filters and plug change
- New battery
- New alternator
- Brake fluid change
- New rear disks and pads
- Two new front tyres
Having covered 120, 000 miles this car has the usual marks and imperfections you would expect of a 25 year old car, including a front bumper which has clearly been resprayed at some point and has the lacquer peeling from it. The only issue that we would look to address immediately is a rear tyre with a slice to the sidewall, otherwise the car is highly usable and just needs an owner that wants to drive and enjoy it. We think it's a perfect first Porsche for someone, or the ideal daily Porsche for someone that has others in the garage for high days and holidays.
The car has a well documented history file showing the car and attention it has enjoyed throughout its life, with the following works completed in the last 5 years:
- October 2024 - major service, new rear brakes, battery and alternator
- October 2021 - inner and outer driveshaft CV joint gaiters and both track rod joints and full geometry setup
- August 2021 - replaced exhaust sleeves, clamps, gasket, and manifold
- September 2020 - new front brakes and replacement nearside suspension arm
