Description
We are pleased to offer this exceptionally clean 2013 VW T2 Kombi Last Edition on behalf of a fantastic GQ client.
The VW Camper van (or Kombi) had an extraordinarily long production run of 63 years culminating in over 2 million vehicles produced in a number of factories (Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and South Africa) around the world. The T2 was an incredibly flexible design, resulting in numerous commercial, domestic applications which increased further as external firms modified the concept to meet even more niche applications.
In 2005 the original aircooled engines were finally phased out to meet stricter emissions regulations, with a 1. 4l water cooled petrol unit introduced, producing 80 bhp and providing a great deal more performance, economy and refinement. Final production finished in Brazil in 2013 with a limited run of "Last Edition" vehicles, which have become highly cherished and collectable.
The car we are delighted to offer was built in 2013 in Brazil and carries a plaque showing it to be number 0371/ 1200 from the Last Edition run. Bought by the current owner from virtually new and kept in Brazil with his family until being brought to England in 2015 whereupon it was put through and passed the UK IVA test. The car is currently showing just over 7, 000km and has clearly been cherished throughout its life. Dry stored and used only for highdays and holidays it has been regularly serviced by VW specialists and has had a recent cambelt change. It drives beautifully and the underbody, protected by Dinitrol, bodywork and interior are all in immaculate condition. The car is MOT'd until June 2025 and comes with the added bonus of being exempt from the London Congestion Charge.
The current owner has finally decided to sell his pride and joy due to lack of use and hopes to find a buyer that cherishes the car as much as he has throughout his ownership. If anyone would like further information or to start with a video call please reach out via your preferred method.
