Description
A rare opportunity to be the proud new custodian of this beautiful 1915 brass era Ford Model T.
Named Isabelle, she has been in the long term and loving ownership of a highly respected couple in the Model T Ford Register.
Together they travelled on numerous rallies and made subtle upgrades to the car to allow optimum reliability.
These upgrades include a 12-volt conversion with a modern alternator with voltmeter on the dashboard.
The wheels were also subtly converted to demountable, and a spare wheel is mounted on the rear.
To enable the best braking possible, the car was converted at high cost to Rocky Mountain brakes which incorporate much larger and wider drums at the rear.
Again, at great cost the car was converted to an electric starter motor using all correct period Ford T parts.
The paintwork dates from a restoration many years and thousands of miles ago, so is showing signs of wear and tear with the scuttle area matted and a few marks here and there. This all adds to a beautiful patina.
Supplied with a set of virtually unused side curtains plus a rear half tonneau cover plus some spares.
Upholstery is very good with original door cards and period rubber pedal pads. A new battery has been fitted and a later and more efficient carburettor has also been fitted.
On the button and ready to rally. The car was driven to me from Guernsey and did not miss a beat.
