This is a genuinely 100% solid Mini with one of the best shells you'll find. It has been driven multiple times recently and is ready to go. It needs a loving home that will continue to keep it in excellent condition. I bought this Mini in 2003. My Dad and I fully restored it then in preparation for me passing my driving test. Since then it has had two more partial restorations and resprays to keep it in excellent condition. I am a paint technician by trade and have spent my entire career in the body repair sector.
I'm selling (with a heavy heart) because I don't use it anymore. Two years ago I bought a classic Volvo 240 as I needed something a bit more practical and capable of doing long journeys in comfort.
The best things about this car are the solid shell and general all-round condition. It is a fantastic useable classic that is great as it is. But is also a perfect canvas for an enthusiast who can personalise it and add further upgrades. The automatic 'box is sometimes seen as less desirable, but this has always confused me. The 'box shifts perfectly well and just having two pedals really adds to the 'go kart' reputation of the Mini. It is great fun to drive! If you want to put smiles on people's faces by simply driving your car around, this is the one for you.
