New Galvanised chassis - painted black for originality.
Restored bulkhead.

All capings, hood sticks, side cheeks, and windscreen re galvanised.

Engine rebuilt by Scholar Engines Mendlesham, Suffolk including rebore +0. 040”, new pistons, Reground crank -0. 010” all new bearings, unleaded head, new water pump.
New wiring loom (Autosparks), new voltage regulator, new positive and negative braids and leads (converted to neg earth).
Period Gunsens TriTach Tachometer and dwell angle meter fitted.
New clutch assembly complete with slave and master cylinders and hoses, new exhaust manifold, new fuel tank, new dynamo, new starter motor,
New Weber carburettor and new fuel pump.
New road springs (Jones) new shock absorbers, new check straps.
New ball joints, new steering relay,
New adjustable towing attachment 50mm ball and jaw, 7 pin plug.
New prop shaft universal joints and gaiters.
5 New wheels, brake wheel cylinders, new brake shoes, new brake drums, new copper brake lines, new master cylinder.

This is the 45th Series 2a to leave the production line a SWB 88” 2. 25 Petrol Built in 1961 it was first registered 173SKP at Henry’s London in Feb 1962. The Reg number 173SKP is valued at £3, 000 see valuation document. Heritage Certificate included. According to DVLA only around 55 Series 2 land rovers remain on UK roads - around the same number as series 1s.
