These exceptional hand-built sports cars were created using traditional coach building techniques, from the handcrafted ladder frame chassis to the bespoke aluminium body, all crafted with classic skills and tools.
Meticulously assembled by hand, and interiors finished with the finest leather and Winton carpet. Built in July 1989 and first registered 1st August 1989, finished in the stunning Midnight Blue / White painted centre stripe, Tan leather interior with Blue carpets. Power is delivered in the form of 5. 0 ltr Ford 302 V8 carburettor engine with 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Dash!
In February 2023, Redline was commissioned to replace the standard “MkIV T Dash” with our bespoke, hand-made MkIII dash conversions. These dashboards are crafted entirely in-house, tailored to each car, and designed to replicate as many original features as possible to achieve the true MkIII Cobra look and feel. The conversion includes Smiths instruments, period-correct warning lights, and switches. A MkIII style steering column is installed, complete with the authentic Motal-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel and boss using original AC badge is used—an exceptionally rare detail to source. Each dash conversion, along with the necessary wiring, involves nearly 100 hours of work, and as you’ll see, the results truly speak for themselves.
HISTORY
Included with the car is two leather-bound folders containing a comprehensive collection of invoices and records detailing the AC Cobra’s history. These documents come from renowned Cobra specialists such as Thunder Road, Uniclip Automotive, Hawk Cars, and Redline Engineering. The folder also includes the original bill of sale from respected AC Cobra dealer Rod Leach’s Nostalgia, various sundry bills, and tax discs dating from 1990, 1999–2010, and 2012–2015 (22 tax discs in total). Additionally, there are MOT certificates from 1993 onwards, and in 2016, the Cobra was awarded “Best Overall” at the AC National Day. The package also includes handbook booklets and two sets of keys.
I’m delighted to confirm this AC has been regularly serviced and maintained by ourselves as well as most recently having some mechanical maintenance work carried out: replacement both front brake callipers, fit smoked sunvisors, refurbished wheel centres as well as MOT February 2025.
