Description
The Alfa Romeo 8C of the 1930’s is widely regarded as one of the greatest cars of its era.
Vittorio Jano's masterpiece was inescapably linked with the legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari who won many competitions behind the wheel, including the 1931 Coppa Ciano, two instances of the Targa Florio (those 1931 and 1932 victories), the 1932 Monaco Grand Prix, the 1933 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 1933 Mille Miglia.
This outstanding evocation was built to the highest standards with no expense spared by pre-war Alfa Romeo specialist Setford & Company.
Setford and Company sourced as many original parts as possible and used the most respected companies producing parts in the industry, to put together the incredibly accurate and detailed Monza available. Original Bosch electrical units and even ‘new old stock’ headlamps were found and installed.
Many of the parts are from Colin Howard in Auckland in NZ who produces the most accurate and beautiful castings and parts.
The engine and transmission were a special order from Jim Stokes and benefited with a much more powerful unit bored to 3 litre giving an amazing power output of 260 bhp.
Fully registered as a 1934 Alfa Romeo and offered with a current V5C.
FIA papers are supplied and gives entry to a huge number of historic races and rallies throughout the world.
Arguably the best example available with very few miles since its conception. Experience this legendary Monza for fast road tours or track racing.
