We are offering for sale a truly unique piece: Wall Auto-Wheel motorised wheel combined with a Magnat-Debon DC/ DB bicycle.
The Wall Auto-Wheel was one of the first devices designed to turn an ordinary bicycle into a motorised vehicle. First presented to the public at the Stanley Show in 1909, it was introduced and marketed by Autowheels Ltd of London.
The article consists of a motor mounted on a subframe, which is attached at three points to a conventional bicycle. The motor drives its own integrated wheel, converting a simple pedal bicycle into a motorised tricycle.
The example we offer, complete with bicycle, has been restored by the previous owner and is in excellent condition.
