Chassis the details below was delivered in Touring specification via Dick Lovett Specialist Cars in February 1973, specified in Grand Prix White / Blue with Black Leatherette/ Corduroy interior, heated rear window, Recaro seats, driver’s door mirror, electric windows and seat belts. The car maintains its matching numbers engine and gearbox and with production completed in December 1972, this is one of the first 500 examples, built using thinner and lighter steel body panels.
The car passed through the hands of 5 owners before being purchased by a Mr George Evans through Hexagon Classics in 1983 at which point the car had 68, 000 miles on the clock. Mr Evans kept the car for 25 years during which time he raced and toured the car extensively also carrying out engine and gearbox rebuilds and also a bare metal respray in this time. His travels with the car are documented within the history file, including visiting the watch museums in Switzerland.
The current owner purchased the car in 2013 and has spent large sums carrying out full engine and gearbox rebuilds as well as a bare shell repaint. Some of the top Porsche specialists in the country working on the car including BS Motorsport and Maxted-Page. As a result, it presents very smartly and is driving extremely well.
