‘LC06 OSX’ is a fine looking example of the highly popular Jaguar XK8 Convertible dating from 2006. As such ‘LC06 OSX’ represents the last of the X100 cars with the later 4. 2-litre version of the AJV8 engine. ‘LC06 OSX’ has seemingly led a charmed life to date having had just three keepers to date and having covered a moderate 47, 000 miles only. What’s more ‘LC06 OSX’ benefits from a generous paperwork file and a fully stamped service book covering mileages from 6, 115 to 45, 010. The original book pack is also present. Recent, non-routine attention has included new brake discs and pads all round, an alloy wheel refurbishment and a new battery. An advisory free MOT valid until February 2026 is also on hand, making ‘LC06 OSX’ a superb way to enjoy the upcoming summer.
‘LC06 OSX’ presents in a superb and popular livery of Zircon Blue Metallic and the paint seems to retain a generous flake content. This contrasts well with its black fabric hood and the 18-inch, seven spoke Jaguar alloy wheels round off the look perfectly. ‘LC06 OSX’ presents in a highly original specification and is a timely reminder of what a fine looking car this long awaited XJS successor really was. The sumptuously appointed cabin is finished in Caramel hued leather and complemented by Champagne carpets. Generous accents of burr walnut veneer increase the luxury quotient exponentially. The electric hood operation works as efficiently as it should and the level of equipment here is impressive. Highlights include climate control, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, cruise control and bright red start button.
Jaguar chose the XK8 to showcase their all new AJV8 four-litre engine. By the time ‘LC06 OSX’ left Browns Lane, however, the 4. 2-litre AJ34 V8 was nestled under that long, sloping bonnet. This unit was originally rated at 300 bhp and 310 Ib-ft of torque. This was transferred to the rear wheels via a smooth shifting, six-speed ZF automatic transmission. This configuration gave the XK8 an impressive turn of speed but also made it a refined cruiser par excellence.
