Extremely rare Vincent Black Shadow C Series from 05/ 1951 - the fastest production bike in the world, that's a fact not a slogan! Philip Vincent's 'Black Shadows' are legendary motorbikes produced by manufacturer/ rider Philip Vincent from 1948 onwards. His aim was to build the fastest motorbikes in the world. The Black Shadow is considered to be the first Superbike. The A and B Series were the first, but the high point was the C Series, the most accomplished launched in 1948. The 998cc V-twin engine was the most powerful on the market at the time, enabling the machine to reach speeds of 125mph / 150mph. the paintwork and chromework are in excellent condition. Our Black Shadow comes with its full English 'Buff Logbook' R. F. 60 registration document and large history file.

This Vincent has been owned by its previous keeper since 30th December 1964. Its history is crystal clear, in fact we know its complete history, always beautifully looked after by its long term Vincent owner over the 61 years of ownership, please note the bike also benefits from a number of notable improvements as follows.
