After 10 wonderful years, it's time to pass on custody of this fantastic beast.
Completed and registered in August 1994, this Range Rover Vogue SE is an example of the highly sought after "Soft Dash" model.
Equipped with a 3. 9 V8 petrol engine and standard 4-speed automatic gearbox, this range rover classic easily keeps pace with modern traffic.
In Plymouth Blue, with a tan leather interior, the car has an extensive car file of service history, maintained by main dealers and more recently by a single range rover classic specialist, who has ensured high quality servicing and maintenance over the last 10 years.
In my ownership, the car has been used as a "daily driver". MOT until January 2026. Despite the mileage recently passing 222, 000 miles, all the major mechanical components have been overhauled and/ or replaced in the last 6 years. This includes:
Ashcroft reconditioned gearbox
Ashcroft reconditioned transfer box
Reconditioned steering box
Reconditioned axles and differentials
EBC Drilled and Grooved Disk Brakes all round, with Greenstuff Brake Pads
Gaz Adjustable shock absorbers
Heavy Duty Springs (proper conversion from air suspension (including retrofitted suspension turrets)
Catalytic Converter (replaced at last MOT)
Powerflow Custom Cat-back Stainless Steel Exhaust
Exhaust Manifolds and gaskets
Locking Wheel Nuts
Also had a replacement head gasket (not due to overheating, but instead a leak to atmosphere), with parts sourced from V8 Developments, including an ARP Head Bolt Kit.
The car has only run on high octane fuel (mainly Shell V-Power) and only been serviced with Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil (20w50).
Where mechanically the car is very strong and has been very well maintained, the body work would benefit from some more attention. The top tailgate has been replaced with an aluminium version. The O/ S Front Wing has suffered a (very) slow speed impact and a replacement wing is included in the sale (it is in good condition but requires a respray). The bonnet also requires some attention.
Available through negotiation (not fitted to the car) is an original plastic Brooklands Body Kit (in need of a couple of repairs and a respray).
The interior is original, shows signs of wear but is serviceable (and the seats are still very comfortable). Everything works as it should with exception of the sun roof and the heated seats. There is an aftermarket head unit with CD player and Bluetooth audio. The car did not come with a factory parcel shelf, but I have fabricated a wooden replacement in the style/ template which is a fantastic example of function over form! The car also has a full size spare wheel in the same rare TWR alloy.
I am very sad to part with this wonderful car which is as happy on a motorway as it is in a field. I hope its new owner makes as many memories as I have.
Currently missing a N/ S Rear Bumperette/ Bumper corner. This will be replaced for sale. Otherwise sold as seen. I have formed a huge attachment to this car.
It's such a wonderful place to be, and really is like driving around in an armchair.
I haven't truly tested the cars full capabilities but I have towed a light aircraft on an airport apron and rescued stranded motorists in the snow. There is nothing better than the V8 burble however, as long as you measure in smiles per mile!
