1972 Triumph TR6 150 BHP PI Manual Overdrive UK car.
The TR6 was manufactured from 1968 to 1976. some 86249 were built but only 8370 for the UK market.
This stunning and most sought after example is one of only circa 2000 150BHP models manufactured with the denoting 'CP' chassis number. In standard form they produced 150 BHP with 0-60 of 8. 2 seconds and a top speed of 120 mph, somewhat rapid fifty three years ago! Manual four speed gearbox with overdrive..
Finished in 'Pimento' red with black Ambla interior this really is a most exceptional example. The paintwork is unmarked with a glorious lustre and depth of shine, The bodywork is quite remarkable with the wheel arches, doors, wings, bonnet, boot lid and valances 100% solid with absolutely no signs of previous repair. The wheel arch lips are clean and sharp as original. The interior is exceptionally nice having recently had brand new seat covers and foams and a complete new burr walnut dashboard fitted. The chrome is all very good. The underside, chassis etc is clean and well protected. Original 'Henleys' sticker still in the rear window.
The last owner owned the car since 2015 using on a regular basis during the summer months. With the car, comes a huge very organised history file with many invoices, repair invoices, heritage certificate, previous Mots and owners club information supports regular maintenance and servicing over the years. The fuel injection system as recently been serviced and tuned by a local TR6 specialist. The recorded mileage is 104000 miles with previous Mots dating back to when the car was seven years old in 1979.
Driving very well with a great sounding engine, really coming into its own at 3000 rpm, a smooth gearbox with overdrive working as it should and excellent clutch and rear axle.
Although Mot exempt as classed as a historic vehicle, we will supply the car with a full 12 months Mot for your piece of mind.
