This 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet has covered just 36, 300 miles and is in lovely condition, inside and out. It is finished in rare Atlas Grey Metallic, which is a deep, rich, almost black shade, with 18-inch Turbo-Look wheels and a black hood.
The interior is full Marble Grey Leather, and boasts fully electric seats with driver's memory, heated seats, Bose Sound Pack, aluminium gearlever and handbrake lever. A worthwhile upgrade is a Pioner head unit with CarPlay and DAB radio. Rear Park Assist completes the specification. The car comes with the registration 'CA54RRA' which, at a push, reads Carrera!
This a car that has been maintained by us. We fitted an uprated IMS bearing, and then did a major service and fitted new Michelin PilotSport tyres all round. It is now due a minor service, which we shall undertake before sale, so it won't need another service for two years.
The Carrera 4S has essentially the wide Turbo bodyshell with the drivetrain from the Carrera 4. Instead of the Turbo’s part-fixed rear spoiler, the 4S has the standard car’s fully retractable item. However, the main distinguishing feature of the Carrera 4S is its full-width rear reflector, which helps make it one of the best-looking 996 variants. However, there is more to the Carrera 4S than just good looks. The uprated suspension is based on that of the Turbo, so the car sits 10mm lower than a standard Carrera. The brakes, too, are from the 911 Turbo.
