Description
● This Rover Mini Cooper Sport is a generally solid example of the limited-edition
modern classic city car, offered with low mileage from new.
● Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 1, 275cc ‘MPI’ inline-four, delivering around
63bhp to the front wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
● First registered in November 2000, this example is understood to have had three private
owners from new.
● The odometer shows a modest 45, 309 miles from new.
● The Cooper Sport model was produced as a run-out special edition to commemorate the
end of ‘classic’ Mini production, which featured ‘Sports Pack’ extended wheel arches,
13-inch Minilite alloy wheels, quad front spot lamps, a two-tone black and silver leather-
trimmed interior, and a machine-turned aluminium dashboard with magnolia gauges.
● As with all Sport 500 models, this example is finished in British Racing Green with a
Platinum Silver roof, door mirror caps, and bonnet stripes, over a black and Nickel Silver
leather-trimmed interior, featuring an aluminium gear knob, door handles and window
winders.
● It rides on a set of 13-inch Minilite alloy wheels, shod in Yokohama A539 tyres.
● Equipment includes a heated rear screen, push-out rear windows, and basic heater and
ventilation controls.
● This example has been fitted with a Sony ‘Drive-S’ CD stereo with an auxiliary input.
● The car comes with two sets of keys, the partially stamped service booklet, all the
owner’s manuals with a black leather wallet, the original bill of sale, and an extensive
collection of maintenance and parts invoices, as well as UK and NI MOT test certificates.
● Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
● Specific notes include: paint bubbling and corrosion around the
windscreen, a large paint chip on the driver’s side rear window, and some stone chips on
the bonnet.
● The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 27 November 2022 at 45, 148 miles, which
resulted in a first-time pass.
● This Mini’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in May 2022, which
consisted of an engine oil and filter change.
● Other notable maintenance includes new Brembo front brake discs and pads being
installed in 2020, four new tyres and a replacement exhaust section fitted in June 2020,
a new bumper fitted in January 2021, a replacement temperature transmitter sensor
switch, a thermostat gasket, and a rocker cover gasket being fitted in May 2021, and a
new differential output shaft oil seal, a fan belt, radiator unit, and gearbox side plate
gasket being fitted in July 2021.
