Description
A desirable Right Hand Drive ‘big boot’ example within a super history, solid chassis and many original features.
This is a great opportunity to finish off the stalled project of a well known car; with just 3 former keepers including Fred Annells, Traction Aficionado and Honorary Life Member of the Owners Club, it’s a rare find.
A lot of the hard work has already been done by marque specialists and it has been fitted with an expensive replacement rebuilt engine and gearbox from Steve Thomson.
As well as the rebuilt engine & gearbox, it also has a new electronic distributor, 12v alternator conversion and the vendor suspects it has had a new fuel tank, exhaust and drive shaft, they also pleasingly report that the chassis and body appear to be in sound order.
To assist with the project it comes complete with a full workshop manual and whilst the car has been partially disassembled to start the project all parts removed during the earlier stages are supplied with the car.
There is some surface rust to body, particularly door bottoms and lower front wings; the vendor reports that most or all panels will require repair, these are reported to be available from the Owners Club for circa £45 each, and the wiring loom appears to be in poor condition. It will also likely need a new carb and three are supplied with the car.
This is a great opportunity to complete a very rewarding project to your own standard with the assurance of a fully rebuilt engine and gearbox that have covered zero miles.
