History
Built to an incredibly high specification in the mid 2010s, this Godzilla R34 is a imposing sight to behold.
The Osaka based tuning shop Garage Ito is synonymous to some of the best GTRs on the streets of Japan, this brilliant R34 is a perfect example of the workmanship of the tuning house.
Once in the UK this car then benefitted from having a full Syvecs ECU system fitted & was road mapped by Racecal – one of the most reputable tuners in the UK & Europe.
Body & Paintwork
Finished in the legendary Bayside Blue this example presents very well. The Genuine Nismo Z tune body kit adds to the aggressive lines of the R34, paired with the iconic Nismo LMGT4 this GTR looks as good as it goes.
The back end is highlighted by a Voltex carbon GT wing, providing downforce as well as completing the track focused look of the car.
A few small age related marks / small chips are present as you would of course expect from an example that has been built to be driven & enjoyed – this is us being fussy as we are of course used to super low mile examples which do not get used much at all.
Make no mistake this is a well presenting example.
Interior & Trim
The interior of the car is in good condition & is focused around being a drivers car.
The Bride Zeta bucket seats are supportive yet comfortable & the CUSCO 7 point roll cage adds rigidity & safety especially for track use.
The drivers carpet has wear next to the clutch foot rest which is unfortunately very common for these cars, it’s only minor and doesn’t take away from the interior but we like to be transparent.
The MFD is clear with no pixilation issues, and works as it should.
Sitting in the car you get the feeling of being in something very special.
Engine
The iconic RB26DETT engine… it really needs no introduction It is held in high regard for being one of the best engine’s to come out of Japan.
This particular engine has had been fully upgraded from top to bottom with a long list of high end tuning parts. From the HKS 2. 8l stroker kit to a Toda Racing lightweight forged crank shaft.
A HKS intercooler & DRL Racing radiator help to keep this monster cool, with all vital readouts displayed on Toucan touch screen display on the centre console.
The spec list reads like a Gran Turismo build & all adds up to an estimated 800ps (car was road mapped by Racecal).
Various boost levels can be chosen on the Toucan, including options for Anti Lag & Launch Control.
The car starts & idles perfectly even from cold – clear to see the Syvecs has been setup very well.
Make no mistake this R34 is a very serious machine with excellent performance available should the mood take you.
Refreshingly, the exhaust is not overly loud (as a lot of tuned R34 GTR’s tend to be) & is a sensible noise that could be lived with, without issues or upsetting neighbours.
Running Gear
Having just completed a full underside restoration within our workshop, this GTR presents better than new when you look underneath. The car was in great condition beforehand with no corrosion issues (pictures available to prove this).
As with the rest of the car there are a host of high end tuning parts fitted.
Ikeya Formula suspension arms offer full geometry adjustment & the Ohlins suspension is arguably one of the best for the platform.
The car had had a full suspension geometry carried out after the underside restoration.
Front and rear limited slip differentials, Endless big brake kit & Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres ensure this can put the power down & stop effectively.
The diffs can feel a little aggressive on slow driving/ manoeuvring but perform excellently on the move.
