History:
The car was bought new by the owner’s sister's husband in 1980. As the family grew, he and his father exchanged the car for a Volvo station wagon. The car was owned by his father until his father's death, after which the car passed to the owner’s sister's son, who is his godson. However, the car was left standing in the early 2000’s and the owner bought the car from his godson in June 2011.
Since the car was in very good condition, he decided to restore it for museum registration. After a mild restoration which included new paint, the car was registered as a Finnish museum vehicle in 2011.
In 2011, he bought an old farm that needed restoration, the car was rarely driven and put into storage in 2015. Last summer (2024) the car was brought back into use. Over the last 10 years, it has been driven around 520 km. The current mileage is 152, 151 km. Before last summer's commissioning, he changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, coolant, brake fluid, and front lower ball joints.
Spares:
There are also some new wear parts for the car, cables, ball joints, brake caliper pistons, etc. Also, one new right-hand front fender and the original side mirror that requires restoration. In 1980, Mitsubishis were imported to Finland without side mirrors and the importer installed the mirrors. For some reason, this model has Vitalon Baby Tornado mirrors installed, which were the original mirrors in some Porsches and Ferraris at the time.
