The car is in Northern Ireland and comes with a standard UK V5 registration document. It can be used anywhere in the UK without reregistering or incurring any import duties. Delivery to most mainland UK postcodes averages £400.

I just love driving this car and could happily use it as my daily driver. First registered in June 1955 she is presented in lovely condition and comes with the original bill of sale for £729 1 shilling and sixpence, and some lovely hand written notes recording mileages, petrol fills and services

The exterior presents very well, with minor blemishes as expected on a 70 year old car, the chrome work is good and the paint is shiny and bright.

The interior is also in good condition as is under the bonnet, in the boot and the underside of the car is solid and free from corrosion.

On the road, she drives really well, free of any unwelcome noises, rattles, or bangs, it changes gear with ease, and the engine sounds so sweet cruising comfortably at 60 MPH.

The Mk1 Ford Consul was introduced in 1951 as part of Ford’s modernized British lineup. It was the entry-level model in the "Three Graces" range, alongside the Zephyr and Zodiac. Featuring unibody construction and McPherson strut front suspension, it was advanced for its time.

Powered by a 1. 5L (1508cc) 4-cylinder OHV engine with 47 bhp, it had a 3-speed column-shift manual transmission. The design was American-inspired, with a curved windscreen and smooth body lines. Variants included a convertible by Carbodies and a station wagon.

The Mk1 Consul was popular for its affordability and reliability, commonly used by families and taxi services. It also saw use in motorsports and British films of the 1950s. Production ended in 1956, replaced by the Mk2 Consul. Today, it remains a cherished classic among enthusiasts.

The description of the car reflects my personal opinion based on my experience, and time with the car. However, opinions are subjective, and what I find acceptable may differ from your perspective.

Please don’t compare her to a modern car, she’s 70 years old, built to the engineering and design standards of her time. Like any classic car, she will always have jobs that need attention and room for improvement.

It is also inevitable classic cars will require ongoing attention, maintenance, and improvements.

If you're considering purchasing the car, I strongly encourage you to examine and test it in person to ensure it meets your expectations and suits your needs. This will give you the opportunity to fully appreciate its condition and assess whether it’s the right car for you.
