The Jaguar XK8 is an iconic sports car that traces its roots back to 1996 when it was first introduced as a replacement for the Jaguar XJS. This sleek and stylish two-door coupe and convertible marked a significant departure for Jaguar in terms of design and engineering. Under the hood, it featured a potent 4. 0-litre V8 engine that delivered impressive performance, combining luxury and speed. The XK8 became renowned for its elegant design, luxurious interior, and refined driving experience. Over the years, it underwent various updates and improvements, including the introduction of a more powerful 4. 2-litre V8 engine and a facelift in 2006.
We are delighted to offer this 2002 Jaguar XK8 4. 0 Coupe in Seafrost metallic with cream leather interior. First registered in March 2002 and supplied by Dutton-Forshaw in Preston, it has had 4 former keepers. It comes with the original service book that contains 8 service stamps. Thereafter the service history is picked up in a healthy stack of invoices running into many thousands of pounds - it’s fair to say this car has not been neglected. That level of care and attention has been continued by our vendor who bought the car in early 2024. We are indebted to him for the following breakdown of the work he’s had done in the last year:-

With so many XK8s having been supplied in black, white and silver, this car’s lovely pale blue / green metallic hue is a breath of fresh air. In 2023 it had something of a refresh with repairs to the rear arches, front wing and rear bumper, at a not insubstantial £2, 100. It certainly presents nicely, particularly set off with the handsome BBS Montreal alloys. The wheels would probably benefit from refurbishing but it’s great to see that our vendor has wrapped them in some very high quality matching tyres. The interior is largely original save for a Parrot hands free kit and the new gearknob / surround. The wood on the dash is particularly nice and certainly gives the interior that old school Jaguar vibe. We expect that a deep clean of the leather would work wonders and take the interior to the next level.
The car comes with a V5C, old MOTs, full book pack and a sheaf of invoices.
This generation of XK encapsulated all the things that mark out the best classic Jaguars - smooth, curvaceous styling, sumptuous interiors, effortlessly powerful engines and lithe handling. The market is just waking up to what great modern classics they are and we doubt that good examples are going to get any cheaper. Offered with no reserve, there might not be a better time to buy.
