Description
It is good to be offering for sale another nice, original MG TA, complete with what we understand to be its original registration number. Extensively restored in the 1980s to include work to the body, interior, engine etc, this car has been owned by the same family for the last 8 years, and is only for sale due to personal circumstances. Although not much used over the last two years, it is running and driving but could really do with a full service. The engine sounds fine with good oil pressure, the brakes appear to be good, and all electrics are working fine, including the only modification that we are aware of – a recently fitted alternator. We understand that the car retains its original MPJG engine and gearbox, along with most of the other mechanical components. This car is in nice condition, with good paintwork, only a few minor blemishes, well-fitting doors and a nicely patinated interior in Oxblood Red. The hood and side screens are in good condition, although the hood would benefit from a little re-colouring – a very easy job. The chromework is good, as are the radiator slats and the painted wire wheels. The under-bonnet area is in nice condition, and the underside is clean and tidy. Paperwork file includes old invoices, details of the restoration, old MOT certificates workshop manual, current V5C and old buff registration document. This is a charming old car in nice condition, very useable, and at a very reasonable price.
