1971 Morris 1000 Classic Pick-up “Woody”
A superbly engineered Morris Commercial with spacious steel-framed pick up body, lacquered timber sidewalls and drop down tailgate, complete with lashing points, there is also a utility ladder rack behind cab. Never used as a work truck, still in mint condition. It is a Series V, 8cwt version. hailing from the last year of MM production with the more powerful 1, 098 cc A-series inline-four, 48 bhp engine, stronger gearbox and up-rated brakes. All commercials had a beefy separate chassis, telescopic dampers, and stiffer rear spring to cope with the extra weight. This example has been further improved with front disc brake conversion, modern alternator and electronic ignition for instant starting, even after long periods. There is a heavy duty taup cover for the tub in nice contrasting red. It also has an external cab sun visor (rare item) and four lockable storage boxes under rear deck for tools and jacks.
