Description
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth with a genuine 55000 Miles from new. In the main this is an unrestored car which has spent long periods in dry storage. It comes with two sets of keys including the wheel lock keys. The original handbooks and service book which has 10 stamps taking it from new until Jun 93 at 51k miles when it was put into storage till 2009. In 2009 it was sold on ebay and then recommissioned, all invoices here showing what was spent. It was Motd in 2009 stored again till 2015 then Motd 2015, 2016, 2018, 2023, 2024. Since being pulled out of storage in 2009 it has only covered a further 3000 Miles. We have a folder full of receipts and old MOTs all filed in date order with mileages noted further backing up the 55k Miles. This is a very original example which has survived well. You will get shinier concours examples but not many original cars left.
It has had a few reg changes over the years but again all documented and we have a report from the DVLA showing all the owners from new , which is 8 previous. It was first registered as D138 DAV from new, then may have had TC2 on it, then D773 TWA, JOE67 then in 1991 it got its current reg D531 OUH.
Body - Very straight looking car. Solid underneath and never been welded. Good in all the usual places that they rot. Would benefit from a clean down and fresh coat of something protective, but for now we have left it as it is so the prospective buyer can see it without hiding anything. Paintwork is very nice and car has recently been detailed. Couple of very minor scuffs on lower side of front bumper and a couple of very minor stonechips but overall the car presents well. Good bumpers, bodykit, window surrounds.
Mechanics - Car was recently MOTD with no dramas and hasnt really moved since. It starts runs and drives as it should. It appears to be standard under the bonnet with no horrendous add ons , that were popular back in the day.
Interior - Very tidy inside. No cracks on the dash or sagging on the seats. Headcloth is also good. Good door cards and carpet. Again all original and in good order.
Wheels - Original alloys x 5 which have been refurbished at some point. Tyres are in good order.
