Finished in Sapphire Blue with black interior and walnut dash, this Stag presents very well. It sits on later Stag alloys with matching Maxxis tyres. Looking through the file, the car appears to have been restored in 2009 when the colour was changed from red to blue. The gearbox was also changed at that time from an auto to a manual with overdrive.
The chromework is in good condition with an invoice on file for £795 for new front and rear bumpers. It also has stainless steel sill covers fitted, which finish off the look very well.
Always garaged by the previous owner, it is showing 96, 000 miles on the clock, which appears to be correct judging by the MOT certificates on file.
Mechanical upgrades include a 4 column high flow radiator, Kenlowe fan, viscous coupling and waterless coolant. In addition, the vendor informs us a new clutch was fitted in 2022 and the carbs were overhauled in June 2022.
The seats are in good condition as is the walnut dash. The original steering wheel rim has also been professionally retrimmed.
The car drives very well and was driven some 20 miles to our premises. The engine pulls well and sounds great. The overdrive works as it should.
The Stag also comes with a hardtop in black plus some assorted spares including a Moto Lita steering wheel, brake pads, oil filter, waterless coolant, mats and a brand new car cover.
The original driver’s handbook is also present together with lots of invoices and bills for work carried out over the years.
Offered with 2 sets of keys, V5 and a fresh no advisories MOT even though it is exempt.
Overall a well-loved and super example of the marque that has been sensibly upgraded and is ready to go.
