This 2002 Porsche 986 Boxster S is a real treat, as it’s been properly maintained and looked after, so it looks great and is a joy to drive – almost like a new car!
The Porsche is finished in Polar Silver Metallic, which has a slight blue tint and is rarer than the more usual Arctic Silver. The gleaming paintwork is complemented by the recently renewed Metropole Blue hood. The wheels are factory-fit 18-inch Turbo Look items and give the car a purposeful stance.
Inside, are Metropole Blue leather seats, plus the door panels and dash are also leather – a rare option on Boxsters. The car boasts full climate control, silver-faced dials, aluminium gearlever and handbrake lever, rear storage compartment, plus a wind deflector. The radio has been updated with a neat Blaupunkt Madrid 200BT which blends in perfectly and offers Bluetooth connectivity (the original CDR22 head unit is included).
A well-documented history folder shows that no expense has been spared with the car. Work of note include a full suspension refresh, to original specification, including new dampers and bushes, while a geometry set-up has ensured that the handling is spot-on. The air-conditioning condensers and all the brake discs and pads have recently been replaced, while the clutch and flywheel were changed at 53, 000 miles. The mileage remains relatively low at 65, 000.
