Description
This factory-original right-hand-drive (RHD) 1957 MGB Roadster was produced for the domestic market between December 18th and 20th, 1957, before being dispatched to an MG dealer on January 1st, 1958.
Finished in the classic Old English White with red trim and a black hood, it was originally equipped with disc wheels, an adjustable steering column, windscreen washers, an ashtray, a black tonneau cover, twin horns, a badge bar, and a fog lamp. The car's history file includes the coveted British Motor Museum Heritage Certificate.
Now, this 1958 MGA 1500cc, resplendent in Old English White with a luxurious red leather interior, is a true British classic. Recently restored within the last ten years, this stunning example not only captures attention with its beautiful appearance but also delivers outstanding performance on the road.
The restoration involved a comprehensive body-off-chassis rebuild, along with engine and gearbox refurbishments. Since the final restoration work was completed, the engine has covered just 60 miles. While the car's history is somewhat limited due to the passing of the original owner overseeing the restoration, the final touches were completed last year by a passionate classic car enthusiast in the West Midlands. This 1958 MGA comes with its heritage certificate, and the V5C confirms it has had only three owners to date. Invoices on file show that over £5, 500 has been invested into the car since 2023 to complete it to the standard seen today.
The car's Old English White paintwork remains in great condition, and the brightwork is immaculate, with original fittings retained wherever possible. The vinyl hood, full tonneau cover, aluminum-frame side screens, and hood frame are all brand new.
Beneath the car, the attention to detail continues, with a stripped and painted chassis and new floors. Nearly every part has been either fully refurbished or replaced during the restoration. Inside, the red leather seats, matching carpets, soft top, and tonneau cover are all fresh and in superb condition.
The registration number, 9362 KV, will remain with the car.
