Description
The Subaru Impreza 22B STi is a rally car developed in 1998 in Japan.
The 22B STi was made for the 40th anniversary and for the 3rd consecutive developers title in the FIA World Rally Championship. On the first date of sale all 399 cars built were sold within 48 hours. All 22B's have a unique number plate on the center console, about 22B #13/ 400 it is unclear if it was ever produced, unlucky number #13 is a thing in Japan..
3 prototype 22b's with #000/ 400 were sold (gifted) to Colin McRae, Nicky Grist, and David Lapworth of Prodrive Racing. McRae's car was auctioned in 2024 for £480500,-
Lastly, a #000/ 400 22B is on display at the STI gallery in Tokyo, this is the Demo car that the press drove at the time of the introduction.
The Impreza presented here is a Japanese car that was first exported to England and then went to the Netherlands. It is completely original and perfectly maintained. This beautiful Subaru looks and drives like new. This is number 063 of the 400 cars that were made at Subaru. A unique opportunity for someone who wants a real Impreza 22B STi because this rarely comes on the market.
