Here we have for sale our stunning limited edition Ducati 999R. Our bike is a rare factory upgraded series 2 edition and is number #23 of the limited run of examples produced. This model contains the higher powered 150bhp engine as fitted standard in the 999 Xerox. The bike benefits from having the later restyled fairing and painted front fender as well as almost every conceivable carbon fibre extra fitted. The bikes stunning looks are complimented with the factory fitment of gold Marchesini wheels and matching fuel cap (original supplied). To complete the package this 999R is fitted with the full race Corse Termignoni exhaust system.
The bike has been recently serviced, Ohlins suspension service by Kais and steering damper, Ducati Corse performance rear sets fitted, new clutch, magnesium levers and Litec reservoir caps as well as new tyres.
The bike is supplied with the bike cover, plaque, original tool kit, 3 keys and all the standard parts and will have a full MOT prior to sale.
The 999R superseded the Massimo Tamburini designed Ducati 916, 996 & 998 range of superbikes in 2003 and was produced through to 2006. This bike enjoyed great success in World Superbike and was raced in the series through the 2007 season. The 999R was designed by Pierre Terblanche amid much controversy over its styling, despite this it is still known as an extremely high performance race orientated motorcycle. With its traditional Ducati twin desmodromic valve actuated engine layout it has a linear power delivery with high power and torque figures available even at low RPM. Additionally with its high spec suspension and trellis chassis, its one of the finest handling motorcycles of its time.
