This Stunning 68 fastback has been lovingly cared for by the same owner since it was brought into the country in 2013. Car is a 1 year only J code option car. J code was optioned with the 230hp 302 v8 and 4 barrel carburettor. Later down the line the 302 engine was significantly upgraded and fitted with Elderbrock aluminium race heads street and strip camshaft and the engine was stroked out from 302 (5liter) to 408 (6. 6 litre). Apart from the massive Horse power increase to 500hp you now get a car that sounds like a tropical thunderstorm. Owner spared no expense in maintaining this beauty some fantastic upgrades to match that horse power. Uprated front suspension, power steering and upgraded to rack and pinion making the steering feel much more responsive. Stopping power now Uprated power disc brakes upfront. Factory 9ich rear axle rebuilt to make sure you can get that power down. Gearbox was subject to a full rebuild in 2019 and changes perfect and responsive on kickdown. Underside of this car is immaculate. No rust or hole present looking at the shell I believe most of it to be original as the car was a Californian car. Decoding the vin the car was originally Candy red which would of looked amazing. Colour has now been changed to a period correct ford colour of Wimbledon white. Paint is show signs of age but car presents beautifully. All brightwork cleans up immaculately and period correct Magnum 500 style wheels which in my opinion are the only wheels for a white mustang work really well and give this car the ultimate muscle car look. Original Pony style interior complete with fold down rear seats, Interior is in great condition for it's ages no rips and black loop wool carpets in great condition. All the gauges work correctly. You will feel like Steve McQueen behind the wheel of this car. There is stacks of paperwork with this car and the owner really did cherish it.
