Description
The Standard Ten was a model name given to several small cars produced by the British Standard Motor Company between 1906 and 1961. The "Flying Ten" was introduced 1937 and production lasted until the outbreak of World War II.
This 1937 Standard Flying 10 a is fairly early example, registered on the 13/ 04/ 1937 it was originally supplied by J Campbell & Co from Larne, Northern Ireland.
The car starts and runs very well, and amongst the history file there is evidence of a full engine rebuild in later years. There is no frost damage, it is fitted with a new 12V battery and the charging system is in working order.
The car drives very nicely, all gears are direct and the clutch operates perfectly. The brakes work as they should and the handles beautifully.
The it is not immaculate but it shines and polishes up nicely. The interior is the original and colour coded blue to match the outside, and is in good condition.
We have a large history file and the V5 is present.
