Overview:
A low owner, low mileage car with excellent maintenance history in a scarce colour combination of Glacier metallic over Cobalt Blue. Subject to comprehensive restoration works in 2009 with maintenance costs totaling over £21, 000 since 2008. Recent upkeep includes £1, 000+ spent on a full belt & engine service and £3, 200 on corrosion removal in the last 2 years & 2, 000 miles.
Delivered new to Guernsey on 15/ 05/ 1992, it spent the first 27 years of it’s life enjoying the slower pace of small island life in the hands of two keepers, the first for 17 years, the second for 10 years. In 2019 it crossed the channel and had its first UK keeper for 3 years until a dear friend took ownership around 2. 5 years ago.
Maintenance:
Present with the car is a very thorough history file containing all original owners manuals and information booklets plus a service book containing 20+ stamps. Maintenance visits were with the supplying Porsche main agent Five Oaks Garage of the Channel Islands from 1992 through 2003 and from 2005 to present with Porsche specialists. Many of the visits were of course more than just an oil & filter change, with plentiful belt replacements/ rear main seal/ clutch/ plugs/ coolant/ brake fluid etc.
The interior is original to the car and shows wear to leather covered areas, arguably consummate with age/ mileage with no cracks, rips or tears. Personally I appreciate the ‘wear and tear’ left by previous owners enjoyment, it’s light but worth noting and could be revived to almost as new for around £625. The alloys are free from damage with only light marking to inner spoke faces, the Porsche crest centre caps are in good order and are fitted with 4x matching Avon ZV7 tyres which are free from damage and with evenly worn 5mm + tread remaining.
All features work as they should and it is in perfect running/ driving order, it is very hard to find fault anywhere on the car. Thew sunroof and all seals are watertight and the windscreen is free from cracks.
Build Specifications:
Finished in Glacier Metallic with Cobalt Blue Leather, matching dark Blue carpet set. An unusual and (in my opinion) refreshing change from the usual Porsche colourways of this era.
