A fine and highly capable Vintage Motor Car
1924 Vauxhall 23-60 Kington Tourer
The Vauxhall 23-60 made its debut in the Summer of 1922, available with a variety of coachwork styles which included tourer, cabriolet and landaulette.
This model was the replacement for the redoubtable 25hp model which had given sterling service during the Great War.
During the period up to 1926, by which time Vauxhall had come under the control of General Motors, the Company’s products were of the highest quality, being equal to Sunbeam and Bentley.
The 23-60 was powered by a 4 litre 4 cylinder engine with overhead valves and the sturdy qualities of this model were to ensure success in many parts of the British Empire.
This 1924 example has Kington tourer coachwork and is presented in very good all round order.
Recently the cylinder head has been rebuilt with new valves and guides and new rockers and pushrods have been fitted. The clutch has also been overhauled.
A fine and highly capable Vintage motor car, it represents very good value in the current marketplace.
