Description
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII was the first 'Evo' of the new millennium and immediately became an icon thanks to its incredible dynamic performance and aggressive looks. Apart from the racing livery, it was not very different from the car driven by Tommi Mäkinen in the WRC and benefited from the know-how of four consecutive titles in the competition.
Under the bonnet is the legendary 4G63T engine, a 2. 0 turbo that produced (supposedly) 280 horsepower. It is now known that this figure was quite conservative and served only to appease the Japanese authorities. The all-wheel drive system, combined with the mechanical Torsen differentials, provide exceptional traction and 'ridiculous' cornering speed! All this translates into a sprint to 100 km/ h in just over 4 seconds and a top speed of over 250 km/ h.
The Evo VII inaugurated the new platform for the eighth generation of the Lancer, and although its lines are clearly more modern than its predecessors, it has not lost its charm and aggressiveness of a rally car. Inside, the Evo VII maintained its simple layout, with reinforced Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel and minimalist style, in order to maintain the focus on driving.
This EVO VII was purchased in April 2003 in Braga, Portugal, and is in excellent condition, thanks to the 37, 000 km it has covered. It is 100% original, both mechanically and visually, has all the services documented and is delivered with a user manual, service book and duplicate key.
