Description
A wonderful part of Mercedes motoring history, this is one of only four cars to have been used as an official Mercedes Benz Service Vehicle. It was first registered in 1982 to the Head Office of Mercedes Benz UK in Milton Keynes. It still carries the original and correct Mercedes blue and white colour scheme and decals and retains the very rare boot mounted toolbox workstation and roof rack. Additionally, the large tool case has been remade with a full set of tools exactly matching the original and there is even a set of the original Mercedes badged mechanics overalls.
It is in immaculate condition throughout and has covered only 105, 000 miles, no doubt the imperious quality and reliability of Mercedes cars in this period meant the service vehicles saw rather limited use. In recent years the car was on display at Mercedes Benz Brooklands before joining the well-known UK based Danzbenz collection featuring only the finest examples of iconic post war Mercedes Benz models.
