“Excellent ex-BT engineering fleet Escort 55 Mk6 van, 1997, 3 former keepers from new, 3 regular drivers only, which all know each other.
Previous owner owned for 18 years and covered just 46, 600 miles. The original BT driver and keeper was runner-up to the ‘BT Driver of the Year’ competition and kept it as if it were his own. It was then sold to a local ex-fleet specialist garage near Chester, the second owner searched it out as its provenance was known from new.
Recent tyres, the rears are virtually new, the fronts are 3 years old. New replacement steel wheels, serviced on 16-05-23, MOT until January 2026. New clutch and reconditioned gearbox on 10-10-22. New camblet fitted in April 2021 (paperwork to prove).
Complete with two keys, plus red security key, ladder rack, roadworks amber roof light, external carrying tube, internal payload steel walls (BT spec for originally carrying small tool trays but protects carried items from damaging side walls from within), a BT spec steel protective bulkhead / grill. A clarion radio / CD player with multi changer under seat.
A very comprehensive file of receipts and documents from BT with all the history during and after its release from service.”
