The Lambretta Li series 3 was launched in 1962. It was a remarkable change from the previous Li series 2 with new sleek slim styling. The Li series 3 also had better performance than the previous engines and it had a very good reputation as a smooth and well-balanced scooter with great handling attributes. .
This example is very complete and has recently been pulled to of a barn in England. It belonged to the vendors mothers godfather who passed away some 15 years ago. The tax disc with the scooter shows it last on the road in 1978. However the vendor has been able to get the V5C for this scooter with its original registration number. There are original parts and badges all over and it is still standard. There is a fibreglass ‘special’ style front mudguard and later special SX type side panels which are in good order. The scooter is very solid. There is an interesting after market accessory seat on it with red cover.
