The GP150 was the last of the great Lambretta scooters that rolled off of Innocenti’s production line in Milan. The GP150 followed the SX range and retained the engine SX engine prefix before the serial number. They were produced from January 1969 until April 1971. There were however significant improvements to the engine over the SX including: improved crankshaft, a complete overhaul of the gearbox ratios and improved Ducati ignition. The iconic bodywork followed the trends of the day of the early 1970’s. The Bertone design was more streamlined than its predecessors with a new frame and rectangular headlight.
This GP is a genuine barn find having just been pulled out of a farm building. It belonged to the vendors mothers godfather who passed away some 15 years ago. The tax disc with the scooter shows it last on the road in 1978. It is evident that the scooter was used as an amateur performance machine as it is sporting a genuine GP200 engine and comes with a large number of interesting parts including a Wahl Phillips fuel injector and a curious exhaust system. With registration AJW 948H which is still on the DVLA system. This number with the aid of the tax disc should be sufficient to reclaim the original number. The scooter is a still on 6v points, all original badges present, original Silme seat and much more and and has in our opinion superb potential to be revitalised into something special.
