Description
1938 Standard Flying 12, built in 1938 on a 1938 chassis but fitted with the new 1939 body style. This is the last remaining prototype car of six built for the 1939 Earls Court Motorshow.
This car underwent a full nut and bolt restoration in the early 2000s to a very high standard, this is backed up with extensive paperwork, photos and records.
A fantastic looking car in almost perfect condition, only a few minor marks on the bodywork due to 20+ years of continuous use.
We have owned the car around 3 years and have covered many 1000s of miles touring the U. K., she happy sits at 50/ 55mph and holds her own in modern traffic.
All bulbs and indicators are fitted with high quality LEDs but are done in a way to avoid spoiling that period look.
Engine is in sound condition with good oil pressure etc, recently fitted with fully restored carb, new ignition system, plugs and recent oil change and filter ready for the 2025 season.
You will struggle to find such a nice pre war car that can keep up with the traffic in this price range.
We are sad to let her go but we are downsizing our collection due to relocation.
Photos do not do this car justice, come and take a look and see for yourself the true beauty that she is.
Viewings and calls more than welcome if you have any more questions.
