Rare 500 SEC 265 HP / phase 2 / ECE not catalytic converter / Superb condition As a brand enthusiast, I'm reluctantly parting with my Mercedes C126, which I don't use enough given its appeal for long journeys. This car has a complete history documented by its stamped original service book and invoices for work carried out since 2003. This is an interesting version in the W126 coupé range, as it corresponds to the second generation that appeared in 1986, in its most powerful 5. 0-litre engine with 265 bhp. DIN M117965 ECE engine without catalytic converter. The PACIFIC BLUE METALLIC (929U) factory paintwork combined with the light grey perforated leather (278A) is an elegant and unusual combination that adds lightness to this large coupé. It is presented in very good condition. A complete high-quality paint job was carried out several years ago. All the chrome, bumpers and fittings are well positioned and without any major defects. The wheels have been refurbished to new. Underbody examination shows a corrosion-free chassis. Inside, the leathers have been carefully treated, with only the driver's seat bead in need of repair. The carpets are in near-new condition. The woodwork is superb, with just a slight discolouration on the horizontal plate of the centre console. The roof lining was refurbished in 2024. All the electric windows, sunroof, electric seats and equipment work perfectly. Driving this 500 SEC is precise in terms of the front axle (upgraded), the engine is powerful and lively in acceleration, the result of major work recently carried out to completely upgrade the fuel system (pumps, regulator). Gear changes are smooth. Both hot and cold starts are made without hesitation (new idle regulator). The low mileage of this 500 SEC makes it a really interesting machine for regular or even daily use! Considered the most sought-after of the W126s in phase 2 and 265 hp, the 500 SEC is said to be more reliable and benefits from a longer BVA gear ratio than on the 560 SEC.
