This rare and indivdual GT is believed to be one eight Mantara coupes built by Marcos. It is in excellent condition throughout having been well cared for by its three owners.
It is fitted with the 3. 9 litre, V8, fuel injected Rover engine and a five speed gearbox. It is both quick and a very good tourer having been used for European trips by its current owner.
The specification includes power steering, air conditioning, electric windows and mirrrors, a heated windscreen and electrically adjustable pedals. This car has a brake servo conversion fitted by Marcos specialists Redline Sportscars, who also new brake pads and discs all round and replaced the fuel tank and attended to the aircon system in 2024. The Mantara was serviced 150 miles ago.
Inside the large history file there is the original order form and sales invoice, sale documentation from Marcos including an invoice for 2 non-Cat exhaust pipes and a Sport ECU chip, an original brochure, along with invoices and service stamps documenting the thorough service programme the car has received.
In lovely order inside and out, the Marcos shows little wear aside from some light stone chipping to the front, with excellent paintwork and panel fit, and a very well presented interior.
Mechanically, the car is very well cared for and the engine is the sweetest Rover V8 unit that we've had here in twenty five years!
