We are very pleased to offer a stunning and rare 1991 Rover Mini Neon 1000cc. This Limited edition Mini was a rare sight even back in 1991 when it was launched with just 1500 produced in Nordic Grey with contrasting Neon Pink decals. They certainly stand out form Mini the crowd and the metallic paint really suits the shape. This awesome example is probably the best one available, it benefits from a recent comprehensive photographic restoration with many upgrades and fantastic looks. This Neon has its original looks but has been enhanced with a set of coloured coded Minilite wheels with wider profile tyres, contrasting white roof and mirrors and wide slat Cooper grille. Subtle good looks that really get lots of attention. It is also accompanied with a comprehensive service history which stretches right back to day one including its original bill of sale. It also has its original handbooks, every MOT certificate and a folder of all the parts used during its restoration which covered all of its running gear and body. The lucky new owner will benefit from owning a rare piece of Classic Mini history that could easily be shown proudly.
On the road this Neon drives very well. The original 998 engine has ben fully rebuilt and benefits from a stage one kit that gives it more power on the twisty roads and a classy Cooper burble. The gearbox is taught and precise and the performance will surprise you on the A roads and the Motorway as it easily keeps up with modern traffic and will certainly make you smile. Minis of this era also have servo assisted disc brakes and rear seat belts. They are also in a low insurance bracket, so running costs are very low.
The Neon has a beautiful and tastefully upgraded interior with grey seats with cloth check inserts with matching door cards and alloy door furniture. It also has a full length Walnut dash with Magnolia dials and matching three spoke wood rim steering wheel. The carpets and roof liner were also replaced and still look new.
This Neon has a very solid shell and is body coloured on the underside and inside all four wheel arches. The rear subframe has been replaced as has all of the running gear including suspension and brakes. It has the correct vented sills, detailed boot floor and engine bay. The paintwork is gleaming and blemish free and really pops in the sunlight. This Mini offers the opportunity to own a slice of the nineties that is not only of show quality but also easy to use and enjoy on a daily basis.
The Mini is fully checked, serviced, driven and tuned and has a full MOT so is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
