Citroen phased out the ID19 in 1969 replacing it with two models, the D Special and the D Super
The D Special was fitted with a 1985cc engine developing 91bhp and featured a simplified interior with less complex systems to go wrong
Imported to the UK from Germany in the 1980s, this wonderful example of a D Special has been cherished by its family owners for many years
The subject of much fettling and attention throughout its life, it comes to sale now as storage is no longer available
Whilst the Pallas and other derivatives are more readily available, if still rare in themselves, the D Special in its simplest form has become a rarity on most European roads
