Offered here is a lovely little 1996 Rover Mini Equinox finished in Charcoal Grey and still sporting its original Equinox Purple and Black interior.
The sales brochure states: “The Mini Equinox. The height of cool sophistication. Dressed in Amaranth, a stunning pearlescent paint. You can also choose Charcoal Grey or Platinum Silver. Each colour wonderfully suits the Mini’s curvaceous little body. And co-ordinates neatly with the magical Sun, Moon, and Stars theme inside. Just as well that an anti-theft alarm with passive engine immobilisation is standard. Others may admire, but not touch your Mini.” With a fitting strap line of “Designed for individuals.”
We understand this example was restored 10 years ago, including new sills, door skins, A panels, near subframe, and full respray. It still remains in great condition to this day, with glossy paintwork and the shell appears to be free from corrosion. There are one or two minor marks, but nothing that detracts from the overall look of the Mini.
The look is completed by the aftermarket Superlight alloys, arches, chrome door mirrors, and quick release grille.
The interior is clean and tidy. Alloy door furniture is a nice touch, as is the JVC CD player. The boot is lined and the Mini comes with a heavy duty car cover.
Minis are superb fun to drive, and this one is no exception. The carburetted 1275cc engine feels spritely on the road and plenty of enjoyment can be had flicking through the gears on a sunny Sunday. This is a well sorted Mini which is attractively priced, be sure not to miss this one.
