Here we have possibly the best Land Rover Discovery available on the market at this moment finished in the fabulous colour of white gold with beige cloth interior. A stunning colour combination that suits this Discovery so well and makes a welcome change from the greens and blues that are often associated with Land Rovers. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just nice to see something different. This amazing machine is not only stunning in every way, but it has the very rare and desirable petrol V8 engine and automatic gearbox, we don’t think another Land Rover such as this exists both in its power train and condition.
The Discovery was first registered on 14/ 8/ 2000 to its first owner by Hollingdrake Land Rover in Stockport, and it only had 1 further owner prior to our vendor, making it a very low ownership example. It has only done 23, 000 miles which is very evident by its amazing condition and cleanliness and originality. If you put eyes on the history, then you are definitely aware of how good this Land Rover is. The original service book, accompanied by its owners manuals and instruction books, contains 17 stamps, which is some number when you think it has only covered 23, 000 miles from new. This is a great testament of how well it has been cared for by its owners. The service book is backed up with a large collection of invoices and receipts along with pretty much every MOT it has had which sit well with the current no advisories one to December 2025.
Being the GS specification, it has a great set of toys including twin sunroofs (a great thing to have on any vehicle), along with all the others they had back in the day. Looking at this Land Rover in its current condition, it would appear it has never been off road. Some may say it’s never seen rain, but one thing is for sure, it’s very difficult to remember that it is a 25-year old vehicle and a Land Rover because it has certainly never been used for what it was intended for.
If you’re a collector of such things, you will want it in your collection, or if you want an almost “new” Land Rover Discovery you will want it. Let’s remember that in a lot of people’s minds this was one of the best they ever made and more importantly, the money that it will probably sell for is a fraction of the price of new Land Rovers today.
