Peugeot 404 Cabriolet 1. 6 1966
A rare little Gem!
Body designed and manufactured by Pininfarina.
Production volume between 1962-68 approx. 10, 000 pcs, with approximately 12% remaining worldwide.
This vehicle was imported to Finland from California in 1990 as a slight project, but totally rust free with a solid body.
Not long after arriving in Finland it was repainted, rust protected, new Piston/ pipe set, and registered. Original colour was a light blue.
Interior is partly original, front seats were upholstered in leather.
Trunk is in good original condition, and engine bay nice and clean.
In 1997 it was removed from traffic use and the number plates returned to the authorities, this was due to lack of use and has mainly sat in storage since. Recently the owner has started a revitalization due to the long time in storage, like all new brake cylinders and hoses, hydrovac booster assembled with new seals, new exhaust system, starter, fuel pump, tires and carburettor restored. It still needs some attention and adjustment, also maybe a clutch overhaul.
Spare parts included, new water pump, wheel bearings, handbrake cable, rear shock absorbers, clutch tips, oil filter.
Also used parts, alternator, radiator, gearbox and rare Nardi Torino floor shifter.
The owner does not have enough time anymore for this vehicle, so has decided to pass it on.
