The Tamburini designed Ducati 996 was produced from 1999 for only three years before being replaced by the 998
The SPS (Sports Production Special) model was lighter and more powerful than the standard bike, using a dual-injector per cylinder intake and a new carbon airbox along with lighter engine parts and titanium and carbon fibre chassis parts
Only 1, 780 SPS examples were built for homologation purposes
This example is number #511 of the bikes produced
Presented in running order and subject to a recent recommission including cam belts, fluids and new battery
